Action Figure Museum (& Collections)

Action_figure_MuseumSo, apparently the action figure capital of America is in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, home of the Toy & Action Figure Museum.   According to our friends over at Wired.com,  the Museum is the place to get your geek on if you are collector of action figures or just really, really love toys (and are in the greater Oklahoma area.)  You can learn more about it at http://www.actionfiguremuseum.com/

CowboyCurtis And, since it's African American History Month, we want to give a shout out to those action heroes (and she-roes) who may not have made it into your toybox back in the day.  A collector who goes by the name of DarylJeff shows off his collection of African American action figures at CollectorsQuest.com.  And while some of his selections may be a bit suspect (I'm not sure Grimace counts, dude) it is great to see the Cowboy Curtis action figure (of PeeWee's Playhouse fame) get his day in the sun. (Thanks to Laura McMullan) -- E. Christian Moore
