Playing with History - Presidential Toys
Because tomorrow is the inauguration, I thought I would list some presidential toys.
1) Melissa & Doug Presidents of the USA 100 piece Floor Puzzle- Floor puzzles are great for preschoolers because of the large pieces. Toys like this give a lot of opportunity for parents and kids to discuss history in the moment.
2) Hail to the Chief Game- For ages 10-13, this game helps kids understand the election process, as well as the history of American Presidents.
3) 2008 Barbie for President Doll - Barbie can do anything, including run for president!
4) Brain Quest Presidents - These cards are the perfect size to take along in the car, or on a trip and help your little scholar learn about the American Presidents.
5) Topps Trading Cards Box Inaugural Edition President Barack Obama- If your kid loves trading cards, why not learn a little while they trade? This set has facts and historic information about our 44th president as well as text from his speeches.
6) American Patriots 3-Pack- As long as we're learning about the presidents, why not play with some of the founding fathers? This set includes Jefferson, Franklin and Washington.
7) Air Force One 2 Plane set, Air Force One and Air Force Two- Fly in style with Air Force One and Air Force Two.
8) Politics, the American Government in Action Game- This game, for kids from 8-108, allows you to experience a political career from Mayor to President of the United States.
9) 2001 Cadillac Deville Presidential Limo- Yat Ming has a whole line of historic presidential limos for your model car lover.
10) President Obama Wacky Wobbler- If your child has bobble heads of their favorite sports stars, why not add a president to the mix?
And just one more for fun, 11) Barack Obama Change 500pc Jigsaw Puzzle- This is something a whole family can enjoy doing together, and with 500 pieces, the fun might last the next 4 (or 8) years.
Enjoy tomorrow's historic inauguration!
